The Morning After

I woke up this morning feeling pretty groggy until I had this terrifying realization.

"Good God, I started a blog last night. And it's in this really awful shade of green."

After further examination, I've decided that the green isn't that bad. I did not, however, notice the birds in the upper right hand corner when I did the formatting last night. Those are going to go. In fact, a lot of the formatting for this site will change as soon as I overcome my nearly hysterical fear of technology (more on that later). Until then, please bear with this page looking like a "sympathy for your bereavement" card.

What this blog is...

I suppose I should explain what the heck I'm doing. Which is going to be tough because I don't exactly know. I signed up for two reasons. One is that I'm a huge fan of Allie Brosh's "Hyperbole and a Half." I can't duplicate her, but I have a few zany stories up my sleeve which, with some tweaking, might just be worth telling.

The other reason is I signed up for this is so that I could follow my friend Kimber's blog, which can be found here: kimbersgreatadventure.blogspot.com. I'm expecting a year or two off of purgatory for this. Or maybe homemade cookies. Cookies are nice.

The final reason I'm doing this (alright, I have three reasons, I lied), is that I *should* be studying for the GRE. Which, obviously, I am not.

A longer post should be up by Monday. That gives me the weekend to write one. And procrastinate on the GRE.
